Liverpool's Star Extends Regret to Squad, Reveals Curtis Jones
The Liverpool midfielder has disclosed that Mohamed Salah apologised to the team in the wake of the controversy from his public comments.

The striker was dropped from a key Champions League match subsequent to voicing frustrations and suggesting his rapport with Arne Slot had deteriorated.
“He speaks for himself and he can say his own stuff,” the midfielder said. “His apology was clear and was like: ‘If I’ve affected anybody, I apologise.’”
The head coach has previously declined to reveal on whether he received a personal apology from the player.
Looking Ahead
The player stated that the team's response was unchanged. “He was the exact same Mo, his demeanour was positive and it was business as usual,” Jones added.
The midfielder also suggested that a competitor wanting to play is less of an issue. “I get that there are specific approaches you can express yourself,” he said. “However, if a player is content to just sit out, then I think that’s concerning.”
On-Field Response
Liverpool's form have remained strong in the games following the initial controversy. Jones believes the Salah's words were never meant to harm the team.
“If passion has boiled over, it has consistently come from a good place,” Jones concluded. “We’re past that now and we’re building chemistry, performing and on a positive run.”
